Michèle designed this coat for her mother. Living in the Ottawa area, Michèle's mom could never find a coat to keep her totally warm through the winter, especially during those damp days when the cold seems to settle in the bones. Made of three cushy layers, this cozy coat will keep you truly warm in all kinds of weather. And it feels very light to wear.
Michèle’s mother prefers not wearing a hat but going out with a bare head in winter is not an option. This is why the Ottawa has a warm hood to keep the head as warm as the rest.
Strangers often stop her on the street to ask where she bought her coat. She proudly tells them her daughter made it especially for her! |
Other Design Features
- Outer layer of Berber fleece, interlined with Thinsulate insulation, and lined with a winter-weight satin lining (known as Kasha lining).
- Raglan sleeves allow ample room for adding an extra layer, not that you are likely to need it!
- Straight cut ending 8 cm /3 inches below the knee
- Inseam side pockets
- Hood and cuffs trimmed with faux-fur not only contribute to the attractiveness of the coat but also protect the face from wind and cold.
- Hood trim extends into a faux-fur scarf, preventing wind from sneaking down into the neck.
- Your initials are sewn into lining, adding elegance and personality to your coat.
